I am a city girl with a country heart. Growing up on a small family acreage outside Geelong, I spent my formative years riding horses, hand rearing lambs and pretending the neighbour’s farm was my own. After spending three years in a regional city in New South Wales in my 20’s, my love of small country towns and rural life was further developed.

For years I dreamed of one day escaping to the country with my husband where we would live on land surrounded by horses, dogs, cows and sheep. Unfortunately, that's not likely to happen, so instead I will continue to live vicariously through the lives of the characters in the books I love to read and write. I also dream of living in Canada, but as that's also unlikely, I'll keep visiting there and setting some of my books in the country that stole my heart 30 years ago.

A voracious reader, I have always wanted to be an author. After returning to university as a mature aged student in my mid 30’s to study nursing, I juggled full time study, part time work and raising four small children to achieve my dream of becoming a nurse in 2011.

But my other dream - the dream to write - never left. In January 2014 I wrote my first book and I now divide my time between working as a Critical Care Nurse in the Emergency Department, the Intensive Care Unit or in a busy local General Practice where I work as a Practice Nurse. These are the places where many of my stories and characters are imagined.

My husband Tim and I live in Geelong, Victoria and have four young adult children, two spoiled border collies and a Burmese cat.

Life is always busy, always fun and definitely exhausting, but I wouldn’t change it for anything because I am exceedingly, abundantly blessed beyond measure.
